Recently Queer News Tonight lead anchor, Al Ferguson hosted a panel discussion at the Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus. This is Florida’s largest gathering of LGBTQ+ political advocates. The panel explored the events going on in Tallahassee including the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, Woke Bill and more in a panel called “What In The Hell Is Going On In Tallahassee?” The panel included the first gay person of color in the Florida Senate, Senator Shevrin Jones and the first gay latino state Representative Carlos Guillermo Smith. With Al Ferguson moderating the conversation, they both try to make sense of what is happening in Florida’s capital. A particularly sobering moment is a question about if they are discouraged and how they continue this war going on in Tallahassee.
