A far-right group has sparked controversy by accusing Oreo of "grooming" children through its partnership with PFLAG. The National Legal and Policy Center released a video questioning the cookie brand's motives, claiming it's corrupting children. Featuring images from Pride events and LGBTQ+-inclusive books, the video aims to incite fear. However, the allegations are misleading. PFLAG supports gender inclusivity but doesn't advocate gender transition treatments for young children. Additionally, advocating for inclusive literature doesn't equate to promoting explicit content for minors. The accusations highlight ongoing tensions surrounding LGBTQ+ representation, underscoring the importance of promoting accurate information and fostering inclusivity.
