Today, the Florida House passed the "Don't Say Gay" bill that prevents teachers from discussing LGBTQ+ issues in classrooms. As Aromantic Awareness Week draws to a close, these bills bring even more attention to the issues faced by Aromantics and Asexual individuals. Aces are often very visible members of the Queer community, but there is also very little information available about or for them. With all of the bills targeting the LGBTQ+ community, the "A" is facing being pushed even further into obscurity. We must all do what we can to help bring Asexual and Aromantic issues to the forefront, in order to help protect the teens who may be struggling with their differences. Especially as the already limited discussion of them is being pushed further into the darkness.
