It is a sad reality that the LGBTQ+ community, particularly trans women and queer women, are facing growing fear and discrimination due to the introduction of over 400 empty LGBTQ+ laws in America, which disproportionately affect the most marginalized members of the community. It is disheartening to see that, despite progress made in the past years, the focus is still out of whack and the LGBTQ+ community continues to face attacks and discrimination. The radical GOP conservatives and evangelicals are using divisive tactics to control and maintain their power, even if statistically they are losing ground. It is important for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies to continue to speak up and push back against the propaganda and manipulative tactics used against them. It is also important to recognize that the LGBTQ+ community is not a monolith, and inclusivity and intersectionality are essential in the fight for equality and justice.
