On Friday's episode of the HBO show 'Real Time With Bill Maher', the host was joined by Colorado Governor Jared Polis. Polis had previously made history as both the first openly gay parent elected to Congress, and the first openly gay man to be elected as Governor of a state. With the historic election of the first two lesbian state governors last week, Maher asked Polis if he thought the country was over the "Gay Hump". Polis expressed his opinion that being LGBTQ+ was no longer an issue for many voters saying, "The people of Colorado, the people in Massachusetts and Oregon said 'it doesn't matter, what we care about is what you stand for and what you're going to do.'"
