The Republican Party is scared. They have no platform. They have no plan or policy when it comes to governing. Instead, they will institute legal bullying. During debates in the Florida Senate before the passing of the "Don't Say Gay Bill", a Florida lawmaker asked the bill sponsor why the bill didn't include other sensitive conversation points like drug use and suicide. In his rambling response, Senator Dennis Baxley finally admitted why he thought it was important. He said that children are frequently trying to find where they fit in, and when outcasts figure out their gender or sexual identity and become confident, they start to feel like "celebrities". Adults. Republican Adults. Who are lawmakers. Are upset because outcasts might become popular if they become comfortable with themselves. This is adults bullying children. This isn't about protecting anyone. It never was. By the words of the very person who proposed the bill.
