Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appeared at a press event yesterday speaking out in support of the new "Don't Say Gay" bill that has passed the Florida House. He said it was "entirely inappropriate" for educators to discuss sexuality and gender identities with students. At the press event, he said, "Schools need to be teaching kids to read, to write. They need to teach them science, history. We need more civics and understanding of the US Constitution, what makes our country unique, all those basic things." Apparently, he missed the lessons on the Constitution, the history of the Civil Rights Movement, and other things that make the country unique himself.
