As GOP lawmakers across the country enact policies that ban books with LGBTQ+ content, block women's rights to healthcare, and make "Don't Say Gay" school policy, California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom is fighting back, and not just in his state. Yesterday on the 4th of July, Governor Newsom released a new political ad...in Florida. The add encourages people to get out and vote against the Republican attacks on freedom, or if they don't want to do that just move to California. Ron DeSantis has previously claimed that the ongoing drought, fires, and other issues in California are the fault of a left-leaning governor. Some feel that this attack on the governor of another state is part of a plan by Newsom to run for President in 2024, and there have been calls for him to sign a contract that if he gets reelected Governor he will stay in office for his full term and not run for higher office.
