2022 is already halfway over, and that means it's Pride Month. This is the month where we remember the fight against oppressive laws and corporate oligarchies...by having a rainbow slapped on everything to try and sell it to the LGBTQ+ community. Queer News Tonight has already reported on Elon Musk's branding of sexual and gender identity as "personal choices", but his Tesla company isn't the only one to make us cringe. Burger King Austria released a "Pride Whopper" that lets you choose to have 2 tops or 2 bottoms for your bun. Maybe a gay person needs to explain to them why that doesn't work. Walmart, who received backlash for trying to trademark "Juneteenth" for their ice cream, also released a Pride ice cream and such classy t-shirts as "Lez is more" and "HomosexuAlien". Of course this is nothing new. As far back as 2015, Chipotle released an ad featuring a rainbow-wrapped burrito with the caption, "¿Homo Estás?"
