Participants dressed in heels, some wore ride apparel, and some draped themselves in Pride flags.
The purpose of this event was to take action. The rest stops were replaced with โaction stopsโ along the 1-mile walk.
At each stop (hosted by drag queens and community leaders), participants made calls to members of the legislature (+their major donors), sent emails, as well as shot, signed & sent photo postcards.
The walk began at The Pride Center, heading up Dixie Highway to 5 Points and Wilton Drive. The event concluded with a program at Hunters Night Club.
The goals of the walk were:
To give a large and loud shout-out to elected officials in Tallahassee.
To register voters
To register mail-in ballot voters
To educate the larger community about the attacks from Tallahassee on the LGBTQ+ community.
