This week marks Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week, dedicated to promoting awareness about aromantic spectrum identities within the LGBTQ+ community. Initially recognized from November 10 to 17, 2014, it shifted to late February 2015 to be more inclusive. Aromanticism describes individuals whose experience of romance diverges from societal norms, characterized by little to no romantic attraction or aversion to romance. This year, Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week is celebrated from February 18 to 24 across the world, aiming to shed light on the challenges faced by those on the aromantic spectrum and celebrate their diverse identities.
