Visit Lauderdale, a.k.a. the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) is the tourism marketing organization for Broward County, Florida, where more than 13 million annual visitors support 180,000 direct and indirect tourism jobs and spend over $8 billion. Visit Lauderdale believes in accessible tourism and welcoming everyone under the sun. Greater Fort Lauderdale welcomes visitors of all abilities to enjoy 31 vibrant communities and works to remove barriers to provide a quality experience for all, including people with visible and invisible disabilities. Accessible tourism is not only about human rights but also an opportunity to educate and embrace all visitors. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program at FLL offers guests with hidden disabilities, including learning difficulties, mental health, mobility, speech, visual or hearing impairments a discreet way to request help or extra time while traveling through the airport. Many Fort Lauderdale hotels, attractions, theatres, beaches, and transportation providers go above and beyond to provide a seamless experience no matter what your needs might be. Visit Lauderdale works to provide information on wheelchairs, the availability of sign language interpreters, and listening devices, and the understanding of the autism spectrum. Some of the programs of Visit Lauderdale include Abilities Expo Fort Lauderdale which is in October, the Sunflower Visible and Invisible Program, and the Deaf Seniors of America Conference.
