Last year, Wagenblast, 66, publicly unveiled a different, more authentic voice—a higher pitch and softer tone that reflects her journey as a transgender woman. In an interview with Advocate, she candidly discussed the challenges, acknowledging the fear and anxiety before coming out. However, she is happy to embrace her authentic self. Wagenblast's story highlights the importance of living authentically. She is an inspiration to everyone of every age group, queer or not! And, every person traveling through the NYC subways is part of her story.
