Televangelist Lou Engle has had his share of controversy. From advising Donald Trump and Kanye West, to comparing Civil Rights to Nazi Germany, he tends to get passionate about odd subjects. Now he's trying to "help" the LGBTQ+ community by calling for a 40 day fast. They suggest different kinds of fast, such as media fasts, a liquid diet fast, or the "Daniel Fast" which cuts fast food and requires a vegan diet during the fast. The goal is to convince 100,000 LGBTQ+ people to rescind their ways and join the church. The fast was partially the idea of Jeffrey McCall. The "Ex-Gay" councilor (who appeared in the video we saw) feels that people can stop being gay by giving it up, although he has previously admitted his still has sex with men.
