The 2023 Miss Scandals Pageant, organized by Scandal Saloon in Wilton Manors, was a celebration of diversity and inclusivity in the LGBTQ+ community. The pageant featured talented and charismatic drag queens, each with their unique style and personality, who captivated the audience with their performances.
With Pride season underway, Gov. Ron DeSantis and his band of bureaucrats cast a long, dark shadow over the festivities. Their stated goal: protecting children from drag queens.
HotShots Happening Out presents a photo collection from the recently held Mr. Florida Rubber 2023 event organized by The Eagle Wilton Manors. The event was a four-day-long celebration filled with activities like pool parties, BBQs, dungeon parties, and social spaces for everyone.
Last night, HotSpots presented a very special town hall called ‘Race in Wilton Manors: A Unifying Roundtable Town Hall.’ The panel included survivors of racist attacks in the community, members of the transgender community, as well as business owners and city officials. Issues such as access to housing, equity issues in starting a business, and how the community at large views the black and brown members of Wilton Manors were discussed.
