A federal judge in Tennessee has blocked the state’s anti-drag law from going into effect for now.
The law, which restricts drag performances, was signed into law last month by Republican Gov. Bill Lee. It passed along with a bill banning gender-affirming care for youth.
Florida House of Representatives was voting to support what has been described as “Don’t Say Gay 2.0,” a legislative proposal (HB 1069) that includes restrictions on how pronouns can be used in public schools.
Two law enforcement officials confirmed with NBC News that a Manhattan grand jury has indicted several suspects in connection with the deaths of John Umberger and Julio Ramirez, two men who were drugged, robbed and killed in separate incidents following visits to New York City gay bars last year. One of the suspects, Shane Hoskins, was arraigned on felony larceny and identity theft charges.
Last August, Governor DeSantis suspended Warren from his position, alleging that he had committed several wrongdoings. However, it became clear that the governor was targeting Warren for political reasons, after he had spoken out in support of abortion rights, opposed the criminalization of transgender Americans, and fought against discrimination.
The radical GOP conservatives and evangelicals are using divisive tactics to control and maintain their power, even if statistically they are losing ground. It is important for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies to continue to speak up and push back against the propaganda and manipulative tactics used against them.

A Nebraska state senator is causing waves in the state legislature after a scathing speech where she told her Republican colleagues that she is done being polite with them since they’re attacking her family. Namely, her 12-year-old son, who is transgender. Sen. Megan Hunt (D) said, “My son is trans. And this bill, colleagues, is such an affront to me personally and would violate my rights to parent my child in Nebraska.”
