Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, who is lesbian and Jewish, was one of the state officials threatened by a man who vowed to kill all the Jews in the Michigan government if they don’t leave office. Nessel tweeted confirming the news. Besides Nessel, Jewish government officials in Michigan include U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin and several state legislators.
Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended Andrew Warren in August. A district court judge ruled DeSantis violated Warren’s First Amendment rights but did not have the authority to reinstate him.
