The Florida legislature is currently debating a bill, F.S. 827.11, which could be the most anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in American history since the Stonewall Riots in 1969. The language of the law would define “Live Performance” to a standard that would make drag queen performance virtually impossible in Florida in its current format.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has demanded an investigation into Disney after the company pulled a fast one on him amid a seemingly unending feud fueled by a battle over LGBTQ+ rights.

Carys Mullins, a Florida teenager, has documented how it feels to be young and transgender for a film set to debut at a festival as transgender people around the world celebrate visibility and lawmakers across the country look to restrict their rights and care.
A game of “Shag, Marry, Chop” sponsored by Andrew Christian, a popular brand in the LGBTQ+ community. Instead of focusing on women for Women’s History Month, the game features three drag queens from South Florida:
Nicole Murray Ramirez, a legendary voice in LGBT activism, was recently honored with the Harvey Milk medal at the Harvey Milk Foundation Pride Center of Equality Park in Florida. In an interview with Al Ferguson at the Diversity Honors event, Ramirez shared her thoughts on the award and her 50 years of advocacy, including working with Harvey Milk.

During the interview, Warren spoke about the governor’s tactics of coming after anyone who disagrees with him, including the transgender community, businesses, and even school board members and teachers. He noted that this type of behavior is not what freedom and democracy are about.
