The small town of Montgomery, New York was thrown into chaos this weekend this weekend as the Montgomery Book Exchange hosted a drag queen story hour featuring drag performer Cookie Doe. Todd DeGroat, the owner of Popp's Trophies in the town, was vocally against the event and made numerous posts on social media disparaging the event and attempting to portray Cookie as a predator. Gregory Kevin Mullin II, of Roscoe, NY, who recently gained social media notoriety after complaining about being "roughed up" by drag queens at a protest in NYC, also appeared with several other members of the Proud Boys in tow. Despite the protests, organizers of the event say that everyone in attendance enjoyed themselves thanks to the help of the Montgomery Police Department and other allies.
