The Miami Beach Pride Parade is back this spring, returning to Ocean Drive on April 16, 2023. This procession of floats, DJs, and outrageous outfits draws upward of 170,000 people to Miami Beach every year, celebrating everything that’s great about Greater Miami & Miami Beach’s LGBTQ+ community. This year’s theme is “Growing Stronger Together” and, while attendees are welcome to work on their Pride bodies leading up to the event, no gym time is necessary. The parade will begin on April 16 at noon, starting on Ocean Drive at 5th Street and progressing north to 15th Street. It has no official ending time but will transition into the Pride Festival at Lummus Park with live music and DJs.
The grand marshals for 2023 are actor Jonathan Bennett – aka Aaron Samuels from “Mean Girls” – and his husband, Jaymes Vaughan.
The parade itself is reason enough to spend a day in Miami Beach. But if you’re looking for something to do after the parade, hit the Pride Festival in Lummus Park, which kicks off at noon and continues after the parade is finished. Sunday’s lineup will include Tony Moran, DJ Dan Slater, Josh Riptide, Todrick, and DJ Alex Ramos. Plus, loads of jugglers, drag queens, and other top-notch entertainment. New this year is the Capital One Community Stage, which will showcase local artists and musical talent.
