In a small studio in Mexico City, Guillermo Barraza, who is 32 years old, is making history. He's a journalist and the first drag queen ever to host a news show on Mexican TV! His drag character is Amanda. This news is even more critical against the backdrop of LGBTQ+ issues getting increasing attention in the country. The reason behind this is the terrible death of Ociel Baena, who was the first openly nonbinary person in Latin America to hold a judicial position. Before his tragic death, Baena was on Barraza's show La Verdrag. He was found dead alongside their partner in Aguascalientes (Agu-aa- skali-antes) with several razor cuts on the body. She sent a wave of fear amidst the Mexican LGBTQ+ community. But despite the increasing danger, Barraza knows the show must go on!
