The Corner Pub on Andrews Avenue in Wilton Manors is a quiet, friendly neighborhood gay bar away from the tourists and crowds of Wilton Drive. It was a shock to employees and patrons last night when a man entered the bar carrying a grenade, apparently upset with one of the other patrons. He also claimed to have several guns in his car. While bartender Joseph Shakespeare helped lead the other patrons out of the bar, former US Marine Darryl Darling distracted the man. Darling knew that the owner, Anthony Henne, had already called police. After the other patrons were clear, Darling lead the man out of the bar where he tackled him so that the police could restrain him.
