Project Pride SRQ organized a march across the Ringling Bridge in Sarasota to protest the "Don't Say Gay" bill. Protesters carried signs as well as a 700-foot rainbow flag to draw attention to the community most at risk because of the bill. Arthur Boyce, Vice President of Project Pride SRQ said, “We are very concerned about the fact that there is legislation going through that will target LGBTQ children. Children have no ability to fight for themselves. They don’t have a voice. They don’t have a vote, and we feel it’s necessary for someone to stand up and say you can’t target kids like that. It’s just not right.”
