Queer News Tonight is proud to support our local LGBTQ businesses here in South Florida, and tonight we are happy to feature Carvelle Bikes. Founded by Carvell Estriplet, she is an unapologetic proud black Trans woman who loves everything about bicycles, riding them, and of course, repairing them as well. She has over 10 years of experience working in the bicycle industry, and she managed to succeed while working at various shops until it was time to branch out and open up her own.
Carvelle Bikes was created in partnership with the Wilton Collective, a nonprofit all inclusive youth work program consisting of a collection of businesses ranging from home furnishing/accessories, event space, catering, antiques, the bike shop and more.
She recently became a Member on the Wilton Manors Community Affairs Advisory Board, providing a vehicle to maintain a high quality of life through greater citizen participation between the city commission and community. She also serves as the Deputy Director for the Florida Democratic LGBTQ+ Caucus, where they are focusing on voter suppression. Here to tell us more about Carvelle Bikes and her involvement in the Wilton Manors community at large, is Founder & CEO of Carvelle Estriplet. Welcome Carvelle to Queer News Tonight!
