For 28 years, the Ramrod in Fort Lauderdale has been the traditional home of the leather and fetish community. Yesterday the bar held it's Mr. Ramrod contest for the first time since the Pandemic began. The contest was judged and run by former title holders including the second ever Mr. Ramrod, Russ Johannsen who was the title winner in 1996, 2002's winner Michael Todaro, Mr Ramrod 2006 Bill Hoeppner, 2011's Ron Todd, Mr Ramrod 2016's David Richwine, International Mr. Leather 2018 James Lee, and Mr. Ramrod 2019 who held the title during pandemic, Blade ONYX. The contest was emceed by Mr. Ramrod 2019 and It's Happening Out host Elimination. It was a fantastic weekend of brotherhood and camaraderie, and ended with Jack Caligulus as second runner up, Matt Almeida as first runner up, and James Tyrcha as the new Mr. Ramrod 2022. James makes history as the first Mister Ramrod to be a man of the transgender experience.
