The danger comes knocking in the first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s new queer horror film, Knock at the Cabin. The film is based on Paul Tremblay’s terrifying novel The Cabin at the End of the World. It follows a young girl and her fathers who are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the danger. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost. The trailer shows Andrew, Eric, and their daughter Wen heading off on a remote vacation at a cabin in the woods. The gay couple settle in, sing songs, jump into the lake, and connect in the bucolic, peaceful setting. Their idyllic getaway is shattered, however, when a man emerges from the woods.
