Fans witnessed Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton supporting the LGBTQ+ community during the Qatar Grand Prix this weekend by wearing a pride bracelet. A fan posted a rather kind story about Hamilton accepting his LGBTQ+ bracelet in the paddock. Plus, he wore a rainbow helmet to spread his anti-discrimination message. This isn't the first time Hamilton has taken a stand for the LGBTQ+ movement in Qatar. In 2021, he wore a helmet featuring the Pride Progress Flag with words printed on the back stating, “We Stand Together.” In Qatar, there are restrictions on the rights and freedoms of those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. Hamilton however believes that it's always good to raise awareness for things and keep the conversations going.
