Lebanon’s culture minister Mohammad Mortada has moved to ban the film from premiering in the country, claiming the movie “promoted homosexuality” and contradicted values related to faith and morality. This is an interesting decision, as the movie does not depict any explicit LGBTQ+ relationships. The information about the Barbie movie being banned in Lebanon for ‘Promoting Homosexuality’ appeared first on ComingSoon.net. The movie is also banned in Kuwait. Lafy Al-Subei, the under-secretary of the Ministry for Press and Publication of Kuwait said that the decision stems from a desire to protect public and social traditions.
