In what will be Ohio’s last Pride of 2022, Columbus Community Pride hosted its 5th annual Pride Festival on October 8, 2022, in Mayme Moore Park from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
This Black, Indigenous, Queer and Trans-led annual slate of offerings featured a series of community events — karaoke night, a Queer speed dating event, Queer youth art and garden beautification space, and a Queer burlesque show — all leading up to Saturday’s Community Pride Festival.
This year’s theme: The Future is Queer.
The Community Pride festival celebration included events and performances all day, such as spoken word and poetry, music and dance, burlesque and drag, highlighting Black, Trans, and Indigenous culture and tradition.
