Every spring, thousands of tourists flock to Kawasaki, Japan, to celebrate one thing – the penis.
Yes, blessed is the male member during Kanamara Matsuri – commonly referred to as the “Steel Penis Festival” – which is an annual event held on the first Sunday of April. Everyone shows up to the centerpiece of the event: the Mikoshi parade, which features three large erect (but portable) shrines carried through the streets on floats.

The World Is Closing In On Anti-LGBTQ+ Hungary As 15 EU Countries Join Lawsuit

A total of 15 European Union countries have joined a legal case against Hungary’s Child Protection Law, widely criticized as being anti-LGBT. Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Austria, Ireland, Denmark, Malta, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Slovenia, France, Germany, and Greece, together with the European Parliament, will act as third parties in the lawsuit filed last year by the European Commission. The deadline to join the case ended on April 6th.

No Place for Hate: Wolves and Chelsea Condemn Anti-Gay Chants as Police Make Arrests

Wolves issued a statement saying, “Homophobia, like all other forms of discrimination, has no place in football or society, and anyone engaging in discriminatory behavior is committing a criminal offense.”
Away team Chelsea FC also publicly condemned the incident, saying it finds all forms of discriminatory behavior totally unacceptable.

Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo has said that “substantial elements” of a draconian anti-LGBTQ bill being considered by its parliament have been modified after an intervention by his government. He made the announcement Monday during a joint press event with US Vice President Kamala Harris.

Study Reports Complaints Of Harm To LGBTQ+ Increased 11 Percent

The Aguda – Israel’s LGBTQ+ Task Force, the number of complaints of harm to members of the LGBTQ +community rose by 11 percent last year. In 2022, the Task Force received 3,309 complaints of harm to the LGBTQ+ community compared to 2,971 in 2021.

The government in Italy has abolished the right of same-sex parents to be recognized as the parents of their children.
It had not been recognized nationally, but local councils had implemented their own schemes in areas with more liberal and progressive administrations.
