The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild held its 10th annual awards ceremony recently at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in which Swanthula Boulet and Dracmorda Boulet of The Boulet Brothers Dragula won the Best Make Up Award for Titans under the daytime Television category.

An alarming number of anti-LGBTQ+, particularly anti-transgender bills continue to be introduced by states. The ACLU is tracking 278 of them across 33 states. While many target bathrooms, IDs, books, healthcare, education, and sports, a newer trend this year is attempting to ban drag.
Drag, a longstanding form of performance art within the LGBTQ+ community, has been increasingly visible in mainstream culture thanks in large part to the success of shows like RuPaul’s Drag Race. But as the art form gains greater exposure, it is also facing pushback and censorship from lawmakers who claim that drag performances are inappropriate for children and should be restricted.
