People who live in-and-around Wilton Manors, which is known as the gayest place on the earth, like to think that they are the most inclusive and accepting community. However, that is not necessarily true. The community is subject to white dominant decision-making. The black LGBTQ+ population of Wilton Manors still has not found its rightful place. Both the community and the Wilton Manors administration can take steps to embrace diversity and promote acceptance. Action has to be taken against the discriminatory language and approach toward the black LGBTQ+ community. Attacks on the establishments owned by the community must be looked into thoroughly to create an environment of justice within Wilton Manors. This will be the right way of celebrating Black History Month
