In a dystopian future where a company can predict when people will die, two queer latinx boys spend their last 24 hours together and find love with each other. The synopsis of the young adult novel 'They Both Die At The End' reads, "On September 5, a little after midnight, Death-Cast calls Mateo Torrez and Rufus Emeterio to give them some bad news: They’re going to die today. Mateo and Rufus are total strangers, but, for different reasons, they’re both looking to make a new friend on their End Day. The good news: There’s an app for that. It’s called the Last Friend, and through it, Rufus and Mateo are about to meet up for one last great adventure—to live a lifetime in a single day." The novel is emotional yet uplifting, and now it is being adapted as a series on Netflix. The series will be helmed by Latin pop sensation and LGBTQ+ Ally Bad Bunny as the Executive Director. The gay creator of the hit show 'Bridgerton', Chris Van Dusen, is writing the pilot and will be Executive Producer. 'They Both Die At The End' was the first ever young adult novel with queer latinx characters to hit number 1 on the New York Times bestseller list.
