A jet shot down an unidentified object near Lake Huron and the beginning of the month, marking the third time in a week that the US military shot down objects in North American airspace. Previously, an unidentified object was downed over northern Canada, a day after another object had been shot down over Alaska. A Chinese surveillance balloon was taken down by F-22s off the coast of South Carolina before that.
