In a time where America is reverting to the 50's when it comes to Equality, it seems only fitting that the strange time warp that is our world would put Cuba, the country that was stuck in the 50s for decades, at the front of LGBTQ+ acceptance. While Argentina won the race to same-sex marriage in Latin America when it was legalized in 2010 (a right still not afforded to Cubans), the formerly communist country has chosen to officially recognize June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month. This is a first in South or Central America, or the Caribbean.
