This week is Transgender Awareness Week, and in honor of the T in our LGBTQ+ community, Queer News Tonight and the Happening Out Television Network will be broadcasting live from the S.F.Bishop Makalani Mahee Transgender Equality Awards with a special all-transgender cast this Thursday. We are also proud to spotlight other members of our local community who are working to create positive change, including the new Mr Ramrod 2023, James Tyrcha. Recently, Queer News Tonight anchor David Hopkins sat down with James to discuss the leather community, the community at large, and how being the first transgender Mr. Ramrod can help inspire others.
