This evening, Florida Memorial University will welcomed the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden, to campus. In partnership with Florida Grassroots, FMU hosted President Biden and other special guests, who expressed the importance of voting and making your voice heard. FMU President, Dr. Jaffus Hardrick said before the event, “This is a rare and incredible chance for our students, faculty, staff, and neighbors to hear directly from our nation’s leader as our community prepares to vote, many for the first time.” The event ran from 4 pm to 8 pm EDT. President Biden was joined by the Emmy and Peabody award-winning actor, and producer, Keegan-Michael Key, and Jenifer Lewis! There’s so much at stake in the upcoming election on November 8, that Florida residents, especially the LGBTQ+ community, must elect Florida Democrats up and down the ballot in November. #southflorida
