A Texas school district has voted to ban discussions of transgender people and gender fluidity as part of a series of policies targeting LGBTQ youth in schools. They’ve gone as far as to remove books from school libraries. They’ve also banned books teaching critical race theory. The school district approved a policy that includes a strict review of which school library books the kids will be allowed to read. That would make it easier to challenge and remove titles that cover LGBTQ topics. Over 150 participants from the Dallas-Fort Worth region chimed in on the proposals.
