Duval County schools started back up this week with classrooms having been stripped of rainbows, "safe space" signs, or any images that indicate support for LGBTQ+ children. The school board stated that this is part of a new rebranding called "All in for safe schools" that is compliant with the Parental Rights in Education Bill. In a statement, Equality Florida wrote, "As Duval County Public Schools students begin their first day of school, they are returning to classrooms that have been stripped bare of all visible support for LGBTQ students. Last week, the school district’s leadership held an emergency meeting with school principals in which they were directed to remove all posters, wall decorations, and stickers that support and affirm LGBTQ students."
