Tonight we have a special in depth report of where LGBTQ Community Trumpsters go from here. The last four years have seen dramatic and growing division in the LGBTQ community. Not just in politics but in division over issues of finance, trans rights, lies and truth and it seemed to focus on the support or opposition of Donald Trump. In the last two years our news and talk show programs at Happening Out Television Network have dedicated hundreds of hours on these issues. We have watched the growth of Log Cabin Republicans, Gays For Trump and #WalkAway. We have had anchors and hosts from those organizations to debate and explore the ideas of what LGBTQ America was watching in this growing movement in our own community. In 2019 a Washington DC Log Cabin Republican host, Joe Brookman got angry at me live on It’s Happening Out and then stormed off the set. He then threw his mic pac at the hosts and hit Power Infinity. (WATCH THIS) Last year a South Florida Gays For Trump President and host of It’s Happening Out, Andrew Brett became such of a agitation to host a conversation that his participation ended. I hosted the National LGBTQ Debate that had supporters of Democrats and Joe Biden and LGBTQ Republican supporters than notably included #WalkAway founder Brandon Strock. That debate was watched live here at Sunshine Cathedral and more than a quarter of million on line. The November 3 election created something new. An unaccepted outcome of transition of power and Donald Trumps defeat. This lead to the January 6 Attack on the Capitol. At Queer News Tonight we reported in great detail the rainbow flags at the attack and the rally before it. We reported Brandon Strock’s participation and the closing of social media profiles at Twitter, Facebook, Youtube of many of the organizations including Brandon Strock and #WalkAway. Many accounts and virtually all associated with #WalkAway were removed.. In The last week a strange sets of events began in the LGBTQ community that calls into question what’s next for LGBTQ Trump Supports. It begins with a text to me from Brandon Strock and #Walk Away. What you see here is a verbatim transcript.
BRANDON STRACKA, January 14 2:05 pm. : Hi Al, It's Brandon Straka. I was shown the piece you did recently attempting to link me to the violence at the Capitol. I am reaching out directly as I have had a friendly relationship with you in the past. In the piece, you stated that I spoke at the event before the capitol. This false. You said the event I spoke at was called Stop The Steal. This is false.
BRANDON STRACKA. I'm politely asking you to retract these statements on your show, as I did notspeak on January 6th and I was not a part of the event.
BRANDON STRACKA : If we can't resolve this my lawyer will be reaching out to you.
AL FERGUSON: Brandon, I'm happy to correct any mistake in reporting we have. I am echoing exactly what we saw from multiple outlets. Have you spoken at something else called "Stop The Steal?"
AL FERGUSON But I'll get to the bottom at my end.
BRANDON STRACKA. Yes, I have no doubt you're echoing leftist publications.
BRANDON STRACKA: That's no excuse for false reporting and putting me in danger.
AL FERGUSON: We did not do that. And you know I personally have defended your rights (to speak) repeatedly.
BRANDON STRACKA: FYI, Facebook banned over dozen people who work for me. Some of them are contractors who aren't even conservatives or Trump supporters. You may want to tell your panel that as they're smugly celebrating people being taken down. Some of these people do all their business on Facebook and now got wiped out. They don't even support my politics. This is what you are cheering on.
AL FERGUSON: I'm happy to give you platform to tell this story. We are at such a critical time. I think it would be good for everyone. And you already know it would be fair from my seat.
BRANDON STRACKA: 1st amendment demonstrations are still not a crime, Al. Remember how hard your side has worked to say "93% of BLM protests are peaceful." Well, we've all seen the 10,000 videos of BLM violence. So should the peaceful BLM protestors be arrested and investigated by the FBI for being connected to BLM? If your answer is NO then STOP suggesting that it's ok to treat Trump supporters this way because of what dozens of people did at the Capitol. And STOP linking it to me. THAT'S WAY OVER THE LINE.
AL FERGUSON: Would you like to come on (to say this)?
BRANDON STRACKA: For now I'm going to opt to not come on. Please send a link after you air the retraction.
AL FERGUSON: Brandon. May I ask. Did you participate in the RALLY TO REVIVAL on January 5 at DC Plaza? Did you attend STOP THE STEAL rally on January 6?
AL FERGUSON: Brandon, could you please advise?
That was our last exchange. Until yesterday. We have now found evidence he spoke at the protest in Washington on January 5, the day before the attack on the White House. Remember, all of his social media, and allies have been removed from social media platforms. But we have it. (WATCH THIS).
We can not find him speaking on January 6 so we correct other media outlets and Queer News Tonight on being able to show his speech. But in Brandon’s and #WalkAway demand for retraction and no association with “BEING A PART OF THE EVENT”. We have found multiple examples of Brandon Strock’s participation in January 6. (WATCH THIS). (2nd video The man in the sunglasses and mask we believe is Brandon Strock. See where he is at and the comment on tear gas. WATCH THIS).
Yesterday the FBI Arrested the LGBTQ Leader of the LGBTQ Organization #Walk Away, Brandon Strock, for his participation in January 6 and what many have called the attack on America’s democracy. There are three federal charges. (MUG SHOT). It is being reported by multiple sources that this is his arrest mug shot.
So what’s left for LGBTQ Trumpsters. They followed him. His words. His charges. But Trump did not go to the capitol with you as he promised. So what is next for the LGBTQ conservative movement in America, the Log Cabin Republicans, Gays For Trump, and #WalkAway? Queer News Tonight reports the stories and trends of our community. We acknowledge record LGBTQ voting for Trump. While we support them, we are not the HRC or Equality Florida. But now I express a personal opinion and speak to these LGBTQ followers in LGBTQ America. These days are momentous. This was the conclusion of these movements. It’s time to sit down and talk. Any other choice is not in your interest for your future, our LGBTQ community, our democracy or America. This chapter closes. But for the first time in our lifetime, the LGBTQ community is divided.
