Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended Andrew Warren in August. A district court judge ruled DeSantis violated Warren's First Amendment rights but did not have the authority to reinstate him. Andrew Warren said he will appeal a judge's decision that upheld his suspension as Hillsborough state attorney by Gov. Ron DeSantis. While talking at the Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus on Saturday, February 25, Andrew Warren said that the Governor of Florida broke state and federal laws to just suspend him. Andrew Warren also said that the attacks by Governor DeSantis are because Warren supports and talks in favor of abortion, transgender rights, and against discrimination against women and transgender Americans. He promised and motivated the community members and Democratic party supporters to 'fight like hell' as the stakes are high.
