LGBTQ+ Americans are getting vaccinated at a remarkable rate. An impressive 92% of LGBTQ+ adults in the United States have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to a new survey from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). That figure is significantly higher than the approximately 70% of adults in the general population who have received at least one shot. The study, sponsored by The Rockefeller Foundation, included over 15,000 respondents, marking the first major insight into vaccination trends among the LGBTQ+ community in the U.S. Although the survey found some disparity in vaccination rates across racial and ethnic lines, the gaps among LGBTQ+ Americans are far smaller than those seen in the general population, where vaccination rates are significantly higher among white people.
