A tweet shared in a Facebook post that dates back to August 21st shows a supposed segment on Tucker Carlson’s prime-time TV show on Fox News. The screenshot, which created quite a stir, shows a segment of Carlson’s show with the news chyron reading, ‘Straight men turning homo after gay hypnoses.’ The tweet’s caption with an elegant, ‘What the hell is going on?’.
In four days, the Facebook post gathered over 2,600 shares, with the original Tweet garnering more than 109,200 likes in the first five days itself. Similar viral iterations, AKA memes, have been shared on online platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. USA Today reached out to the user who shared the post on Twitter and found out that they photoshopped the image.
