The mayor of New York City, Mayor Eric Adams, revealed yesterday that the city is partnering with private companies to place billboards in Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and West Palm Beach opposing 'Don't Say Gay'. In a tweet Adams said, "We have a message for Florida’s LGBTQ+ community: come to a city where you can be you." At a press event he spoke about how New York is the "City of Stonewall" and how people who need to leave Florida for a place where they are valued can move to New York.
