The word "woman" has a pretty simple dictionary definition: a person with the qualities traditionally associated with females. That being said, it's not a legal term. When Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee tried to catch Supreme Court Nominee Kenaji Brown Jackson in a "gotcha" moment, the Honorable Judge Jackson replied in a manner completely fitting for a judge. She replied with 4 simple words, "I'm not a biologist." When the Senator attempted to push the issue, Judge Jackson insisted that because the definition of a woman had not been brought before the courts as an issue, that it was not her role to define it.
