Congress Introduces Bill To Censor LGBTQ+ Content In Schools

Last week US Rep. Jeff Van Drew from New Jersey introduced what he calls the "My Child, My Choice Act." The new act would make elementary schools request parental consent before the children can participate in “lessons specifically related to gender identity, sexual orientation, or transgender studies." Any lessons containing LGBTQ+ content would require consent from at least 50 parents to be taught, and the children of parents who disagree with the lessons will be put in study hall during the lesson.
