Company Forced To "Surrender Dorothy" Name Of Beer. It Didn't Reference The Wizard Of Oz
7 Locks Brewing has been forced to change the name of their popular Surrender Dorothy beer after Turner Entertainment objected to their petition to trademark the name. The DC Brewery names their beers after local landmarks, and Surrender Dorothy was named after persistent graffiti on an overpass near the local Mormon Temple. The image of that overpass and temple depicted on the can was too close to that of the Emerald City, according to Turner Entertainment.
