Over a hundred students staged a walk-out in support of Danny Lillis, a gay senior at Lee's Summit High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Danny has faced repeated bullying, and even after multiple attempts to get help from the faculty nothing has been done. Melanie Davies's daughter is one of Danny's friends, and recently she stepped in to help protect him from a group of bullies. The bullies ended up punching Davies's daughter in the face, and the school suspended everyone involved, including Danny and his protector.
